If you’re looking for hockey equipment, there are not a lot of online stores dedicated to this sports area. While you can find general stores that carry some equipment, it’s tough to find a lot of the essentials. Their 55,000 sq foot warehouse is located in Carlsbad, CA and they feature very quick shipping and a great attitude for customer service.
Right off the bat, you can tell that this site is all about hockey and that’s a good thing. Their overall organization makes it easy to immediately spot special deals and find exactly what you are looking for. The design is a bit dull, but functional. While we would have liked to have seen a little more visual excitement going on, the simplistic approach actually seems to work here. Not every site can be a monument to Flash and new technology, and although their site is simple, it works and that is what is really important.
The design of the site is simple and clean, and they have made good use of their available space. The left sidebar contains links to all of their different products, and they use the center of the main page to advertise special deals. The right side contains some links to a hockey camp and the other Giants stores, and everything is put together very nicely.
The top right corner contains the links to manage your account, get help or find other stores. We loved the fact that they made their toll-free number so visible, and overall, they have a clean navigation system that makes the site very easy to use.
The individual product pages load quickly and showcase the products well. Once again, the design is simple, but this does help you focus on what is important. They’ll let you know if the product is in stock and you can also find out when you can expect delivery. We really liked this feature, especially for those that are in a hurry to replace broken equipment.

If you do have a problem with anything that you buy, you’ve got thirty days to let them know and start the return process. We found this very easy to do and they did a great job of making sure that we got what we really needed.
They do deduct the cost of shipping the item back from your original order, and if you get a replacement or exchange, you’ll still need to pay shipping. This was pretty reasonable and in line with most store policies.
We loved the fact that they will willingly ship to military installations around the world. Not a lot of merchants do this and this was the final feather in an already nice cap for the company.
